Ms. Carmon was born and raised in northwestern Wyoming. Her family spent time in the wildneress of Yellowstone Park and the shoshone wilderness experiencing horse pack trips and learning to light a one match fire. After graduating from High School she entered the University of Northern Colorado with an emphasis in special education and later changed her major to counseling psychology where she received her Master's degree and was honored with being inducted in Who's Who's in American Colleges and Universities. She also belonged to the National Honor Society of Psychology during her times at UNC in Greeley , Colorado. She worked 3 jobs and carried a full load before graduating with honors. Mikel started her private practice immediately upon graduation and stilll maintains a private practice. She was also invited to speak in St.Petersburg Russia with the Association for Humanistic Psychology during their 9th annual conflict resolution conference. During this time she hosted "The Mikel Carmon Show: Healing Relationship with Self & Others". This was a live show and her guests included authors, experts from many fields and took live calls from the listening audience. The focus of the shows were wellness, conscious language and living, integrity, leadership, personal and global accountability, work-life balance, voluntary simplicity and much more. It was also during this time that the initial CreateEnergy was developed and published by Books Beyond Borders (1995, Boulder , Colorado). It was then self published for years. It had very good success in the markets it reached. One of Mikels passions is horses and mules and her wagontrain business was started in 2001 after completing the Bozeman trail which was approximately 730 miles and took 2 and a half months to complete. She also completed the Bridger trail during the Wyoming centennial , the Idaho Centennial wagontrain (both in 1990). Her own wagon train business, Spiritriders Wagon Train Adventures takes folks down to the historic Hole in the Wall and the Oregon trail. Lester and Festus are the current mules that she owns along with Cherokee her personal riding horse . Mikel is also a certified equine assisted learning professional and studied with the founder of EAGALA. Horses mirror who we are and this work is know for quick and lasting results. Her business: Horse Wisdom for Wellness is still maintained in Northern Arizona. After years in private practice, Ms. Carmon was ready for a new area of study that would challenge her and be effective with her client base that kept growing. After reading Energy Medicine by Donna Eden and David Feinstein (I had read it years earlier), I entered into the foundations year with Innersource and then completed the 2nd year to become a certified Eden Energy Medicine Practitioner. This work and the people involved with Eden Energy Medicine is outstanding to say the least.
