Using Music as a Mindfulness Practice
Mindfulness is being aware of the present moment from a place of acceptance, rather than from a place of judgment. Mindfulness research suggests that engaging in mindfulness practices can benefit a person's well-being. Yet, some people find traditional mindfulness meditation practices to be inaccessible to them.
Most people have no problem accessing music, though. Likewise, music can have a beneficial effect on a person's well-being. In this 60 minute class, you will discover ways you can use music as a mindfulness practice. You will also learn more about how and why music can be beneficial to your health. Faith will lead participants in music-based mindfulness practice, allowing time for questions and feedback.
